Excerpt from report:
Let’s face it – entertainment is expensive. Cable television can cost over $100 per month if you get all of the movie channels. A new release DVD is $15 to $20 – sometimes more. A single season of one television show is usually at least $30 to $50 on DVD. And a trip to the movies is at least $5-$10 per person just for the ticket. That doesn’t even count the exorbitant prices at the concession stand! Popcorn and a soda could easily double (or more) the cost of going to see a movie.
It’s frustrating, to say the least. The economy is in turmoil, and almost everyone has seen a drop in their income as well as their buying power. We’re paying more for gas, food, clothing – everything!
